Brow Lift/Forehead Lift: A forehead lift is very effective in re-establishing elevation of a drooping eyebrow, decreasing forehead wrinkles, and providing a more youthful and rested appearance. This can be performed as an outpatient under local anesthesia or sedation. Endoscopic techniques with small incisions allow for more rapid recovery. This can be performed in conjunction with eyelid surgery and facelift surgery.
Traditional Facelift (Rhytidectomy) As we age, certain parts of the face will droop, sag, or develop wrinkles. This is most pronounced in the jowl and neck area. Facelift surgery can restore the youthful appearance and structure. The incisions are inconspicuous and well camouflaged. They begin in the hairline near the temple and extend down in front of the ear. The incision continues under the ear lobe, back behind the ear and into the hairline. The procedure is tailored and modified to the individual needs of each patient. The skin is elevated so that the underlying muscle and tissues (SMAS) can be repositioned and tightened to restore the natural contours that contribute to a more youthful appearance. At the same time, fat can be removed. The excess skin is trimmed and redraped to a more natural appearing position to smooth out your facial skin. For men, the incisions are placed in natural creases which do not disturb the natural beard lines. A facelift can be performed alone or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping. Dr. Lazor designs and tailors each operation to the individual needs, thus providing a very natural appearance.

RISKS
Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) Septoplasty (surgery to improve breathing) Nasal surgery can have significant impact on both the appearance and function of the nose. Dr. Lazor has authored many chapters on nasal surgery. Changes in the nose may include removing bumps, narrowing the bridge, changing the appearance or angle of the nasal tip, or improving the facial proportions (nose/lip/chin proportions). Chin implants are often placed at the same time to provide facial harmony. Nasal obstruction and difficulties with breathing through the nose can be addressed and treated at the same time. Surgery for the deviated septum is frequently covered by your insurance plan.
Otoplasty (ear reshaping) Surgery to the ear is usually performed for protuberant or prominent ears. This can be performed in children or adults. In children, it is usually performed after the ear has reached full-size, which is usually around five to six years of age. The timing of the surgery for a child is important to limit or reduce the psychological issues that often arise in school-age children. The surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia for children and can be performed with sedation or under general anesthesia for adults. It is a day surgery with the individual returning home that day. The incision is placed behind the ear and is well camouflaged in the skin crease. A dressing is worn for several days afterwards.
Skin Lesion/Mole Removal Men and women are often troubled by various pigmented or elevated lesions that develop on the face, ears, or neck over time. These can easily be removed in the office under local anesthesia. The incision is designed to fall within a skin crease in order to camouflage the scar. The stitches remain in place five to seven days. If there is any concern of the appearance of the lesion, it is sent to the pathologist for complete review.
